Ronald Dornblut, USAF Sr. Master Sgt. ret., age 78, of Homosassa, FL, died on Monday, August 16, 2010, at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Born December 10, 1931, in Brooklyn, NY, to Bruno and Louise (Lee) Dornblut, he came here 7 years ago from Marietta, GA. He was a Retired Sr. Master Sgt. with the USAF with 22 years of service, serving during the Korean War and Vietnam conflict, and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Air Force Sgt. Assoc. American Legion Post 155, Crystal River, and the Elks Club. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Delmarie Dornblut of Homosassa, FL; 2 daughters, Zane Arnold of Homosassa, FL, and Paulette Schillinger of Douglasville, GA; 2 stepsons, Frederick Matthew Fillmore and Robert Francis Bobay V; and a stepdaughter, Delmarie Renee Bobay, all of Cape Coral, FL; 5 grandchildren, Ron Arnold of Inverness, FL, Faith McKinley of Atlanta, GA, Glen Schillinger of Douglasville, GA, Kenneth R. Arnold of Lutz, FL, and Robert L. Arnold of Greenville, FL.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, August 20, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. from the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Crystal River, FL. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Inurnment will follow on Monday, August 23, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with full military honors provided by the USAF Honor Guard, MacDill. The family suggests that those who wish, in lieu of flowers, may make a memorial contribution to Hospice of Citrus County at P.O. Box 641270 Beverly Hills, FL 34464.

To Delmarie, Zane ,Paulette, and families
We are so sorry to hear of Ron's passing away. We loved him dearly when he lived here in Marietta. He loved his wondeful big garden and shared his bounty with neighbors and friends. He always had a basket of fresh vegetables in the van after a round of golf.
Ron had a heart of gold and was always ready to help any way he could. We could always depend on Ron if we needed a tool we didn't have or an electrical problem to solve. Ron also had more putters than any golfer in history. A bad day of putting meant a new putter.
A great friend and a great man.
