Ronald England Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 27, 2016.
Ronald Eugene England –
Of Spring Arbor, passed away at his home on Monday, April 25, 2016 at age of 79. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Elaine (Welch) England; two daughters, Margo (Paul) Pearson and Michelle (Marc) Nelson; four grandchildren, Jessica and Joshua Pearson, Madison and Mason Nelson all of Texas; two brothers, David (Joanne) England and Michael (Barbara) England; two sisters, Virginia Burroughs and Judith Cudworth; aunt, Edna Swetland; as well as many nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends. Ron was born to Hubert and Bessie (Duckham) England in Jackson, MI on March 12 1937. He graduated from Jackson High in 1955 where he loved playing hockey. He was attending Jackson Junior College when he was drafted into the United States Army. After his honorable discharge he continued his education and received an Associate's Degree. He retired from Lally, Cummings, Palmer, and Patch C.P.A. after many years of service. Ron was a 32nd Degree Lifetime Mason at Parma Lodge #183 and was Past Master, as well as a Shriner. While visiting London in 2009 he so enjoyed taking a tour of the oldest Masonic Lodge and listening to its rich history. He was also an avid NASCAR fan having season tickets to the June race since MIS opened. He loved arguing politics with his brothers, playing golf, bowling, and listening to NPR. He loved a good practical joke. What Madison remembers most is that he was funny. Mason and Meme had a hot wheel collection that is quite large. Ron was a loyal man, loving husband, father and grandfather. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. The main thing is that we loved him more than he will ever know! According to his wishes, cremation has been selected and there will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Parma Masonic Lodge # 183 and mailed to Virginia Burroughs, 7753 Dana Lane, Parma, MI 49269.

My Dear Ron:
One year ago, today, you left me to go to a better place.
You have the freedom to move and breathe better.
See your Mom and Dad, other relatives and friends.
Thinking of you today and always.
God Bless.
Love and miss you, YLW

My Grandpa was a very humble man. He never bragged about the things he did in life, most of which I heard of after he had passed. He enjoyed the simple things in life; a lazy Sunday watching Nascar, sitting on the porch with a cigar, etc. He didn't need much to be content and I admired him for that.

I love him and he will be missed.

When I first met Ron, I was dating Margo. One time he and I were tasked with hanging some panel in the entry way. We needed something from the hardware store and ended up in one of his favorite watering holes. A few hours later we came back and finished the job while getting glared at by the women! We did that a few times over the years.
Ron was like that, easygoing, fun as hell, and always ready for a little adventure.
A great man and one that is missed.

Firsts
In our parent/child relationship we've had many "firsts". You became a first time Dad with my birth. You experienced my first smile, my first steps, first birthday, first day of school, first tooth lost, first bike, first attempts at driving, first (and only) move out of the house, first (and only) wedding, and so many other firsts.
And now, I have experienced my firsts without you. First Father's Day, my first birthday without you saying 'happy birthday', first Thanksgiving, first Christmas, thinking of Mom on the first wedding anniversary without you, my first time not calling you on your birthday and now the first anniversary of you walking into the arms of Jesus. There will be more firsts for me. I get through each of these firsts without you by recalling all the terrific memories, just too many to list, but each one special. I get through these firsts by knowing you and I will be together again, thank you Jesus for your saving grace. I get through these firsts by understanding the promises in the Word, picturing you strong, pain free, with your parents and in the presence of the Lord.
Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
I love you, Dad. I miss you but one day I will see you again for another first, our first day together in Heaven.

You'll never walk alone
Words of Reassurance by Helen Steiner Rice
At times like these it is only God who can speak the words that calm the sea, still the wind, and ease the pain. So lean on Him, and you will never walk alone.
They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Trusting that the Lord will be very close to you now, and hoping it comforts you to know that your loved one is safe in His arms.
With Sympathy and Caring

Aunt Elaine, you are in my thoughts and prayers every day. And I also pray for the repose of Uncle Ron's soul. I will always remember his quiet, funny way. He and my dad would sit in their quiet ways at whatever event we were at and share jokes and plans for the future. I remember he and dad talked about starting their own accounting firm once they retired. By the time it got close to that time for dad, he was just ready to retire and it seems that Uncle Ron was as well. May the angels carry him to paradise, may the martyrs greet him on his way and may he see the face of the Lord this day, alleluia, alleluia. We love you. God bless you, Aunt Elaine

"In homage to a life well-lived may you find comfort knowing that others care and mourn your loss."
Elaine,
Thanks for your note letting me know of Ron's passing. Gave me quite a shock as I did not realize he was in ill health Thanks for letting me know where to find his Obituary.
Your husband was a very fine gentleman and I enjoyed getting to know him over the years. He first came to our office with Dave Palmer, then later with Jon Nowinski. A man of "few" words. Always very quiet, but soon learned how ornery he could be as well.
I think the "memory" that tickles me the most is when someone inadvertently put on a country western music station, and Ron got to stomping his foot to the music. He stomped ad kept pushing that pencil/adding machine. Needless to say, that was a side I had never seen before and I had to go to the ladies room and laugh till the tears ran. From that time on, I would pick on him with questions and make him talk to me.
I Hope you are doing well and will keep you in my prayers. Leo and I just saw 54 years of marriage. Shortly after, I was in the ER with COPD Exercerbation, and now at home and on oxygen. Taking it one day at a time. Continue to enjoy life with family and grandchildren as Ron would want you to do.

I was blessed and honored to know Ron England. It is true that so much of ones life can been seen in their family. I have been blessed to have spent time talking with Ron. I will always wonder about the ice cream shop and miss never making the chance to share his home and ice cream with him.
Because Ron & Elaine fell in love their family grew with Margo and Michelle. I personally know both of their daughters are incredible women and humans. Both of their girls have continued their legacy by example in marriage and children. I have known Michelle and Marc for thirty years give or take. The beauty in which these sisters love one another and love their parents are a true testament of their rearing. I am very sad for Elaine, Margo and Michelle as well as the grandchildren for not having more time with him.
I pray the Holy Spirit fills their hearts with love, peace and comfort from all the prayers being sent to each of them Ron was an amazing Father. I still can hear his voice telling me of a few of their journeys while traveling. I know that Jesus Christ opened his arms and welcomed him in his Heavenly home in perfection, love and peace.
I will forever look into Michelle's blue eyes and think to myself Dads Lou. Until we meet again my friend, until that time ~ you will be missed
