To the Esper Family:
So very sorry for your loss. Dr. Ron was my doctor back in the seventies and eighties before I moved from Erie. I was going through some difficult times but as my doctor, he was more than kind. My grandparents came from Eastern Europe, and I remember so clearly pictures of his parents and grandparents on his office wall. He spoke so passionately about his heritage, and how proud he was of his family. He let me share family history as well. I remember him telling me about a school he wanted to start to for doctors of osteopathic medicine. Then I remember the building going up off of 26th St. near Powell. It was quite the medical building for Erie and a much needed facility. I also remember his desire to open a senior care facility near the hospital. He always dreamed big. His love of family and work made such an impression on me when I was nineteen. As a doctor he always put his patients first and actually remembered them by name. I miss that type of medical care.
I am sure many people from Erie remember him this way and have been blessed under his care. May he rest in peace.
