As those of us fortunate to live on do so, the memories of those who haven't persist in powerful ways. I mentioned in my initial condolence that Ron taught me how to be a baseball hitter (I mean, really taught me). Each baseball season he bubbles up into the front of my memory because we, like a lot of us, were Red Sox fans. But it was also that we looked at the game a bit more knowledgeably. Would that we had had the chance to go to a few games as we grew older.

Would that he were still around.

Time flies-over 4 years but you memory remains fresh. I am grateful for all these years of memories since the Sigma Nu days at UVM.

It is June of 2019..I still think of you often, dear friend. To have stayed in contact for so many years. When Zack called and told me that you wanted me to know. I was bothered that I didn't know what was going on in your life for those few years. I was also moved that you wanted me to know. I think I understand now. I miss your joy and friendship. Phil Judd

I was so saddened to hear about Ron's death.
My practice of dentistry was originally on Walnut St. in Framingham beginning in 1967. His lab was next to my office. We shared many laughs and stories. The strange thing is that just the other day while lying in bed, I was thinking about getting in touch after all these years.
My heart goes out to his family and know I am thinking of Ron with fond memories but with sadness.

Ronnie, Joan, Heather and Zachary, dear and close friends just around the corner. The 1970's was good to us, movies, dinners, fun things to do together,
a lot of warm memories, both our kids sharing birthday parties at one another's house with other neighbors. Ron was always ready to advise and help when this novice homeowner called, and call I did. Thank You Ron, sorry I'm a little late. Joannie, Fran and my thoughts are with you and your family.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Ronnie since the Spring of 1960 . We were fraternity brothers at Sigma Nu) at UVM. We have remained in contact thru the years. I consider Ronnie a true friend , who has always been there, Burlington, Marthas Vinyard, Framingham and Maine. Thanks, Ronnie. Peace, Phil Judd

Ronnie's family, I've never met you, but want you to know that Ron was one of my very good friends at Belmont Junior High and Belmont High School. We were, of course, 1957 classmates at Belmont High and played soccer on the school's team.

Ron was a terrific baseball player in high school, a professional prospect as a catcher until he blew out his rotator cuff at University of Vermont. Had that happened today, it would have been repaired and he'd have had a chance at the major leagues. Ronnie taught me how to hit. It actually did some good, making me, a relatively slight guy in high school, into a power hitter (but not helping my strikeout tendency).

Oddly enough, I can still in my mind's ear hear Ron's laugh, which was very much worth eliciting (and we did that a lot).

One of the lovely things that knowing Ron did for me was to let me become friends with Millie, his mom, one of my favorite people ever. She and Ron frequently invited me to holiday meals and celebrations, and I've loved the foods I learned about ever since, to say nothing of learning enough Yiddish to at least be able to understand it and even, at times later, speak it in situations where it applied - however haltingly.

Ron and I lost track of each other after high school, connecting up only at reunions after that.

Funny that I've been thinking about him quite a bit of late, wishing I had a chance to talk and share reminiscences. I should have done that, but didn't.

My sincere condolences to you. I will miss Ron.

Heather, Zack & Family,

Ron was my closest friend growing up in Framingham. We were very fortunate to have the Fine family as neighbors. Ron was like a second father/brother and strong mentor that had a significant impact on my personal and professional success.

Ron and you all are forever in my heart...
