Ronald Lee (Ron) Fisher went to heaven on Saturday, September 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, after a full active and rewarding life. He was a loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Ron was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School in Fremont Ohio. He served his country in the United States Army from 1958-1962. He was employed at the Zeller Corporation in Defiance, Ohio, as well as Defiance Precision Products for thirty-seven years and was a master at repairing all things with his ability to fix most anything. His real passion in life was his farming. He farmed, had a garden, and raised hogs and cattle for over 60 years. After retirement he always had a garden with many vegetables to give away. As an avid Ohio State fan, Ron attended all of the home games for many years and also attended many of their championship games across the country. Ohio State has lost one of its biggest fans as he was always "Buckeye Strong." Ron was a devout Catholic and a member of Saint Michael of the Ridge Catholic Church, where he was a lector and served on the Building Fund Committee and as a past Parish Council member. Ron belonged to Knights of Columbus Council #1039 in Defiance and was a 4th Degree Sir Knight with the Bishop Rappe Assembly. He enjoyed the fellowship, making the cole slaw and working at the fish fries.

Ronald Lee Fisher was born August 28, 1938, in Fremont Ohio, the son of Carl Cyril and Mary Louise (Szakovits) Fisher. He married Rosanne Harrison on August 11, 1962, in Fremont, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on May 21, 2022.

He is survived by his children, Jeffery Charles (Cheryl Crouse) Fisher, Jackson, Ohio, Rhonda Leigh Fisher (John) Drinnon, Bryan, Ohio, Jennifer Anne Fisher (Erich) Bailey, Defiance, Ohio, and Ryan James (Theresa Siebenaler) Fisher, Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren, Nicholas Fisher, Jackson, Ohio, Elizabeth Fisher, Columbus, Ohio, Jordan Drinnon, Akron, Ohio, Jacob Bailey, Columbus, Ohio; Jillian Drinnon, Columbus, Ohio; Alexander Fisher, Athens, Ohio; Emma Nan Bailey, Defiance Ohio; and Julianna Fisher, Columbus, Ohio; and a sister, Audrey Fisher, Fremont, Ohio. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Charles and Gilbert Fisher.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael of the Ridge Catholic Church, 5480 Moser Road, Defiance, with Reverend Father Melwin Dsouza officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michael of the Ridge Catholic Cemetery.
