My Mom, referred to her cousin Ronald with great affection & pride. They may reconnect on the other side.

Ron was my favorite Uncle even though he preferred not to be called "Uncle Ron" I still did (sometimes). Although for most of our lives we were separated by great distances, he always remembered us at holidays and birthdays with cards and gifts which impressed me as a young boy and later inspired me as a young uncle. Eventually, I moved to San Diego where I met my bride to be Patty and we developed a closer relationship with Ron and Anne. They were cherished guests at our wedding and, over the years, the most delightful dinner (or lunch) companions! Ron was a oenophile (as any good Californian should be!) and was always generous with his tips for excellent wines at attractive prices which was another lesson he passed along to me: it does not have to be expensive to be good. Patty and I were recently honored to pass along to him a bottle we discovered in South Africa during a visit to that country as a gesture of repayment for all that we learned from Ron. My father and Ron also enjoyed time together sipping wine and socializing when visiting cities Ron lived in while he was on naval reserve duty - may you both enjoy a toast of a good Cab in Heaven!! Rest in peace Ron, we love you and miss you.

God can be a source of un-ending comforting during such difficult times (Psalms 86:17).

I met Ron through taking his probability classes at UCSD and thoroughly enjoyed his teaching style and upbeat personality. i only ran into him occasionally after that at the Faculty Club but was very glad to meet him one last time at lunch at the Vi this year. i remember him with affection a admiration.

Ron was a friend of my Dad, Harry Corson, from when they were both math professors at UW. They stayed in touch and when I decided to go to college at UCSD in 1975, Ron was kind enough to pick up me and my numerous pieces of luggage (no limit back then) from the airport on my first day in San Diego and drop me off at Tioga Hall. Ron kept in touch during my first year and he and his wife even had me over for dinner. I will always remember their kindness as I not know a soul in San Diego when I arrived.

May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" (Isaiah 61:1, 2) bring you much comfort at this very difficult time.
