Condolences and Blessings on the loss of this incredible person. In 1980, my first year at McMaster University at age 16, he was my chemistry professor. I enjoyed his classes very much. Many years later, I met him at a shoppe in Dundas where my family had been for 42 years. We caught up quickly. Some years after that I ran in to him while volunteering at Amica Residences in Dundas. It was Canada Day. We sat together for hours sipping lemonade, gnoshing on finger sandwiches while he regaled me with stories of the beautiful love of his life and their early train adventures. "I'm sure the scenery from the train was meant to be quite captivating, but mostly I was staring at her, digesting how lucky I was!!" By this time he was bound to his wheelchair. He spoke of her recent passing with deep sorrow and bouts of tears. I remember him fondly as an intelligent, handsome renaissance man whose wife must have been the luckiest girl in the world!! Our prayers go out to all his dearest ones. May his life serve a feast of memories for you all. God Bless.

I was indeed fortunate to have Ron as my doctorate supervisor back in the early 70's. He had a wonderful ability to form a team of people from many parts of the world, each well respected for their individual abilities and contributions to science and the lab. Thank you Ron.
