Mr. Halbardier I will never forget you as my 6 th grade teacher at Brayton Avenue school. I wrote a letter to the Herald News many years ago about a lesson we did in your class which had a powerful effect on me. I have thought of you often over the past 60 yrs. Your sincere love and concern for your students was evident to all. You made learning fun. I thought of you today and felt a strong feeling to check the obituaries. RIP Dear Sir.
