Mr. Ronald "Ron" Bernard Harris, Sr. of Riverview, FL, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, 3:00 p.m. at New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, 1605 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, FL 33602 with Minister Duaney Griffin, officiating. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, FL 33610.
Mr. Ronald Bernard Harris, Sr., also known to most as "Ron" or "Ronnie", was born on July 23, 1951. Ronald was a lifetime native of Tampa, Florida where he attended Blake High School. He worked at Tampa International Airport, as a Sky Cap for over 30 years, until he retired in 2020. Ronald was an avid sports fan, and his two favorite professional teams were the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Rays.
His real passion was spending time with his family, and if he wasn't with his family, Ronald was telling stories to whoever he was with, about his family. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his life. Ronald was a member of Rivers of Life Church Ministries. When Ronald was alone, he LOVED spending that time reading his Bible.
Ronald was preceded in death by: his father, George Harris; mother, Cathryn Harris-Bynum; daughter, Cheryl Harris-Smith; grandson, Keith Harris, Jr.; great-grandson, Jerome Speights III; grandfather, Melton Rawls; and grandmother, Eunice Rawls.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
