Maryville - Ronald Lynn Herron, Jr. (62) of Maryville, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. First and foremost, Lynn was a follower of Jesus Christ and, even in his final moments on earth, urged others to follow His leading and example. An avid outdoorsman, Lynn loved spending time on the lake or in the woods enjoying God's Creation. The other great love in his life was his family, and there was nothing he enjoyed better than spending quality time with them, particularly his eight grandchildren. He was a lifelong employee of the Midsouth division of Vulcan Materials.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Norma Mae Herron. He is survived by his father, Ronald Lynn Herron, Sr.; brother, Roger Herron; Son - Cory (Samantha) and their children D'Artagnan and Mackenzie Barnhardt, Natasha, Sabine, and Caleb Herron; Daughter - Katelyn Herron Skeen (T.J.) and their children Thomas, Maddie-Kate, and William.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2025 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with a celebration of Lynn's life to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Brandon Leitch officiating. The family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at East Maryville Baptist Cemetery for the interment service and burial. The family would also like to extend our sincerest thanks to the CVICU doctors and care staff at UT Medical Center for their exemplary care during Lynn's final earthly days.
