On December 1, 2022, Ronald Lee Johnson, beloved husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away at the age of 82, in his home in Novato, CA after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his children, Christine, Maren (Eric), Michael (Nadine), Mathew, step-children Jennifer (Mike), Brian (Anneliese), eight grandchildren, Madison, Tipton, Arlyn, Tanner, Cole, Kolter, River, Walker, his sister, Jeni, niece, Betsy (Dave), grandnieces Taylor (Louis) Andie (Donovan), Genniueve and grandnephew Grant. He was predeceased by his second wife Barbara, his brother-in-law George, and his niece Darcy (Jim).

Ron was born in Grand Junction, Colorado to Lewis and Thelma Johnson. After graduating high school, Ron attended the School of Mines in Golden, Colorado before transferring to Sacramento State College. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Ron furthered his education graduating from the University of San Francisco with a Masters of Arts in Public Service. Ron had a successful career, retiring as the General Manager of the Marin Municipal Water District.

Ron and Nancy enjoyed traveling, gardening, home improvement projects, not just their home but for their children as well. Ron's woodworking projects will long be remembered and enjoyed by their children and grandchildren. Ron was always there to lend a helping hand to family and friends. A celebration of Ron's life will be held in the Spring for family and friends. Donations may be made in Ron's memory to the Water Foundation via charitynavigator.org or By the Bay Health Hospice.
