Ron and my sister became friends in high school, so I have many fond memories of Ron. He took my sister to the prom. He came to our house for dinner several times. He cut my hair a few times, and if I remember correctly, it was Ron who pierced my ears. In recent years, Ron called me periodically to see how I and my family were doing. He kept us up to date on final illnesses and I was very sad to hear that he'd passed. I'm going to miss hearing his voice. (It was a very distinctive voice.)
