Ronald Knupp Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 25, 2025.
Ronald James Knupp, 81, of Lake City, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025. Born on September 11, 1943, in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, Ron lived a life defined by hard work, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

He worked as a truck driver in the timber and construction industries, where he was known for his grit, dependability, and the lasting friendships he built along the way.

Ron is survived by his cherished wife of 61 years, Helen Elizabeth Ankney Knupp, whose steadfast love was the foundation of his life. He also leaves behind his son, Scott Alan Knupp, and daughter-in-law, Hazel. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael James Knupp, and his parents, Noah Harrison Knupp and Cora B. Roddy.

Those who knew Ron will remember his steady presence, his deep sense of integrity, and the quiet warmth he brought to every room. In his later years, he found joy and comfort in the companionship of his beloved cat, Douglas, with whom he shared a special bond.

In honor of Ron's memory and the compassionate care he received, donations may be made to Haven Hospice in Lake City, Florida, in lieu of flowers.

Rest in peace, Uncle Ron. I have a lot of memories of camping in the mountain, being neighbors, and going to church in Ligonier. You will be missed
