Sarasota - Ronald L. Ramaker of Sarasota, Florida passed away November 25, 2024. Born to Henry and Henrietta (Overkamp) Ramaker of Holland, Michigan.

Ronald was a member of the Fourteenth Street Christian Reformed Church and class member of the Holland High School, class 1955. Proceeded in death by parents, wife Eileen, sister Elaine Teske, brothers Jack and James, and grandson Chance Ramaker. He enlisted in the USAF in 1954. He served during the Korean War and Vietnam War, in which he earned the Distinguish Flying Cross and 5 Air Metals for aerial flights over hostile territory, Laos, Cambodia and North Vietnam 1969-1970. He completed his degree in Aeronautical Engineering while in the Air Force.

He retired from the Air Force with 25 years of service in 1979. He worked 20 years as a Flight Engineer for Saudi Arabian Air Lines. Finishing his career with Polar Air Cargo in 2007.

He leaves behind his sister Victoria Dyer (Buddy), daughters Cynthia Ramaker, Rhonnie Hassinger (Andrew) of Charleston SC, son Steven Ramaker (Margaret) of Clarksville, TN, stepdaughter Nicole O'Connell (Ashley) of Solihull, England and stepson Graham Montagu of London, England. Grand Children, James Osburn, Michelle Dial, and Ashlynn Hassinger of Charleston, SC, Harry O'Connell of Solihull, England, Bruce Cabrales of Baxter, TN, Carmen Roman, Nashville, TN. Four great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Tidewell Hospice of Sarasota FL or your favorite charity.
