Ronald Loiselle Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 3, 2023.
Ronald Thomas Loiselle, also known as Ron or Ronnie, passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 72 in Largo, Florida. He was born on February 13, 1951, in Flint, Michigan.

Ron was a loving husband to Laura and cherished his family dearly. He was known for his kindness and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand. Earlier in life, Ron was an avid bowler and fisherman, finding joy in spending time with his loved ones. He also enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife and family. In his later years, Ron discovered a passion for golf and became an avid golfer. He dedicated his time to volunteering with his group of golfers, known as the Bandits in Pam Hill-Largo, Florida. These activities allowed him to connect with others and create lasting memories. He also enjoyed cooking, and grilling.

Ron is survived by his wife, Laura, their children, Sean, Keith, and Marc Loiselle, and grandchildren Alexis, Anna, Nick, Braxton and Eli. He is also survived by his brothers, Bob and Randy, and his sister, Debbie Elliott. Ron was predeceased by his grandparents, Walter and Oveline Roberts and Arthur and Mamie Loiselle, as well as his parents, Clifford and June Loiselle.

In his earlier years, Ron attended Holy Family Catholic school and later graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1969.

Ron proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War. His military service was a significant part of his life, and he bravely defended his country.

After his military service, Ron worked for 38 1/2 years at Chevrolet Metal Fabricating in Flint before retiring. He dedicated himself to his career and made valuable contributions to the company.

Per his wishes, Ron requested no formal funeral service and opted for cremation. His family will gather informally in Florida during Christmas time to honor his memory. His ashes will be buried in the Veterans Cemetery in Holly, Michigan, in late spring 2024.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Ron's honor to the Cancer Society or the Veterans of Foreign Wars. These organizations held a special place in his heart, and any donations would be greatly appreciated.

Ronald Thomas Loiselle will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and dedication will forever be remembered.

Sitting across from both Laura and him at an amish restaurant we stopped at on a Palm Hill bus trip. Everytime a food platter got to him, it was empty. He rolled his eyes looked up and we both had a laugh. Eventually he was well fed as well as his cherry pie.

I knew Ron in Vietnam. Ron, Tommy McAuliffe, Doug Pierson, a couple of other guys and I volunteered to take ice to one of our units at My Loch. He never shirked his duty. We reconnected in Philadelphia in 2014. I will miss him. Condolences to Laura and the family.

Ron in years past was like a brother to me which married my best friend. He also introduced me to my husband. Although we all got busy in life and didn´t see our friends very much, we always stayed in contact. Laura and family I send all my love to you all and Rest easy Ron. See you again some day.
