Linda Cardenas Obituary
Linda Diane Cardenas
(Gilliland), 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Florida Largo
Hospital.
Linda was born on July 5, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan to Lupe Cardenas and Lupe Ledesma who preceded her in death.
Linda worked for DOT Caring Center Inc. in Saginaw, Michigan for 28 years as a clinical supervisor (counselor) retiring in 2014. She was also a founding member of the Unity Club in Saginaw, Michigan; helping others to overcome alcohol and drug addictions so they too can experience life abundantly. A few years after retiring, Linda moved to Seminole, Florida where she enjoyed the Florida sunshine, family and a renewed sense of peace.
Linda is survived by Bob Gilliland, Ian, daughter Kristina Alderete (Curtis), grandsons, Nicholas, and Matthew Alderete (Aika), and one great grandson Jael Alderete-Rojas of Northern California. Her son Shawn Guerrero
(Marlana) and their children, her brothers Antonio
Cardenas, Pedro Merino,
sister Lydia Velazquez
(Felipe), and many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded n death by her sister Delores
Ledesma, brother William and sister-in-law Rosario Merino.
Linda's remains were entrusted to the care of:
A Life Tribute Funeral Care, Largo 716 Seminole Blvd. Largo, Florida 33770.
Memorial Service
Saturday November 25, 2023; 2 - 4 pm at The Neighb
