I knew Ron from his Earl C. Smith days in Detroit; and his involvement with TOC of ATA for several years. We had a few lunches together at Carl's Chop House in downtown Detroit. No mater how early I showed up, he was always there first. I tried to contact him, without success, about four years ago to see what his interests were after trucking. He was an inspiration and a mentor when i first entered trucking. So very sorry I lost contact with him after deregulation.

My Uncle Ronnie was the smartest man Ive had the pleasure of spending time with. He was an a voracious reader.
My mom always looked up to her brother! I remember every year on my mom´s birthday he would come and take her to lunch. He always made her feel special on her day. I will miss him as he was special to my brothers and my sister and myself!
