Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 23, 2024.
Ronald Lee Pennington, known affectionately as Ronnie, passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2024, in Cosby, Tennessee, at the age of 56. Born on August 24, 1968, in Hamilton, Ohio, Ronnie dedicated his life to mastering the craft of carpentry, a career that spanned several states including Ohio, Tennessee, and Florida. He excelled not only in building houses but also in crafting beautiful log cabins, serving as both a carpenter and project manager.

Ronnie's love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing and traveling. His happiest moments were those spent surrounded by nature and exploring new places. Above all, Ronnie cherished the time spent with his beloved grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life.

Ronnie leaves behind his loving wife, Pamula Valcore Pennington, and their six children: Amber (Rick) Meyer, Jacob Pennington, Ashley Fitzgerald, Allison (Jaron) Miller, Breanna (Evan) Johnson, and Rachel (Kurt) Ankron. He was a proud grandfather to Abram, Caleb, Lillian, Kenna, Lilly, Alex, Jax, Xavier, and the soon-to-be-born Oliver Lee. Ronnie is also survived by his mother, Linda Miller ,his father, Elmer (Bev) Pennington, his sister, Denise Barcus, his nephew, Gage (Sierra) Barcus, and his great-nephews, Benton and Parker, and great-niece, Madison. His extended family includes several loving uncles and aunts.

His grandparents, Benton and Freda Caudill and Lawrence and Nellie Pennington, along with several aunts and uncles, preceded him in death.

A celebration of Ronnie's life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and legacy. His life's work and the memories he created with his loved ones will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.

When I was a teenage, and Ronnie was living with us, we had a blast! I always think of his little giggle and slight smile. It was neat having a big brother in the house. I will always cherish those memories.

Elmer, Denise and Linda- I"m praying for comfort for us all. I know how very much you loved him.
