PURYEAR, Ronald Sr., of Richmond, departed this life December 14, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Cristita Puryear; two daughters, Crystal Marie and Cheryl Camille Puryear; one son, Ronald Puryear Jr.; his mother, Dorothy Puryear; one sister, Inez Patrice Coleman; three brothers, Leary Jr., Linwood and Norwood Puryear; one aunt, Marian Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; eight sisters-in-law, among them Barbara, Barbara and Rosemary; two brothers-in-law, among them Carlos Coleman; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 10:45 a.m. Saturday.

I was so shocked to see that Ron had passed away. I worked with Ron at the Highland Springs Post Office, and he was always so helpful to me and our customers. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

May the love of God, family and friends carry you through your grief. My husband and I did not know Mr Puryear personally, but we know Deacon Linwood, his brother, who has been faithful in visiting my husband at McQuire VAMC for over a year now. Your family will be in our prayers.
