Ronald Raymond Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from May 20 to May 21, 2014.
Ronnie passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the age of 52.

He was born November 27, 1961 at Ft. Rucker, Alabama, the son of Ronald Floyd and Jeanette (West) Raymond. He moved to Delta Junction, Alaska in 1977 and began a career driving School Bus for the Anchorage School District, and was a summer tour guide with the Gray Line in Alaska. Later he moved to Michigan and drove semis moving cargo throughout the United States, and recently was a School Bus driver for the Lakewood School District. Ronnie was an avid hunter. He loved his Church family and his work in the Sunfield United Brethren Church, serving many years as a devoted sound technician, over seeing numerous services and Church functions. He will be dearly missed for his dedication and devotion to trying his best to make services run smooth.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Raymond.

Surviving are both his parents of Eagle River, Alaska; daughter, Ashleigh Raymond of Sunfield, Michigan; sister, Rhonda Bowman of Palmer, Alaska; nephews, Steven, Luke, and Brittany Raymond of Jackson, Michigan.

Ronnie was a special person in my life. A true cowboy he was. We shared alot of time together on the road as well as on my front porch drinking beer and pickin guitar. That man gave more to me and my family than he had and was always there for us. Im gonna miss you my old friend. Happy trails.
