Ronald Reimer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 9, 2024.
Ronald James Reimer, known affectionately as Ron, passed away on June 12, 2023, at the age of 75, in Land O' Lakes, Florida. Born on January 6, 1948, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, he moved to the United States where he would eventually call Florida his home.

Ron bravely served in the Army from November 1967 to 1969 during the Vietnam War, a period that marked a significant chapter in his life. His military service was characterized by the dedication and valor typical of those who served in such tumultuous times.

Beyond his military service, Ron was deeply involved in his community and his faith, being a devout member of the Idlewild Baptist Church in Lutz, Florida. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, providing him strength and comfort.

Ron was also an avid aviator. His passion for flying was not just a hobby but a significant aspect of his life, allowing him to explore many beautiful places across the country with his family. This passion for aviation was more than just a pastime; it was a means of adventure and creating lasting memories with his loved ones.

He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Patricia (Aemmer) Reimer, and their two children: a son, Curtis Adam Reimer, his wife Jodie; and a daughter, Phoebe Reimer. Another daughter, Emily (Reimer) Anderson, her husband Jason, and their children Alex, William, Logan, and Lily Anderson, will also hold his memory dear. Ron is also survived by his brother Jonathon and sister Joanne Reimer Rowlee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev John Reimer and Esther Reimer.

Ronald James Reimer will be remembered not only for his service and passions but as a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful friend. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.
