I just found out recently that Ron passed. What a good mentor, friend and cheerleader he was in my life and in all the students, residents, and physicians' lives he impacted. He will be missed!

I was shocked and saddened to hear Ron passed away. I knew Ron and Mary Jo many years. Loved them both.

My wife, Paula, recognized Dr. Saizow's name in the World this week. He diagnosed her potentially fatal condition in the early 80s on a Saturday morning in the emergency clinic after feeling worse after her personal doctor wanted to run more tests after the weekend. We both have to thank the Doctor for his skills and will remember him. I am saddened by his diminished lifetime and wish his family well.

Ron was all smiles whenever I ran into him at any myriad of functions at Riverfield Country Day School. He visited the school often to work with the teachers, the students and on one Board or another...making sure the place his children called home was as inviting, current and as driven as he was! I loved our conversations and have missed seeing him at school since Abby and Jeff graduated (although I did see Mary Jo a time or two working in the gardens). All my love to the family.

My deepest condolences to all who loved Dr. Saizow. The world is a sadder place without him in it.

Ron Saizow was one of the best men I´ve known, warm, intelligent, accepting, completely comfortable in his own skin. Teaching Abby and Jeff was a joy and privilege, partly because of their splendid parents. Ron visited his children´s classes even in high school, and his quiet presence in a back corner of the classroom was a blessing to both the teacher and his kids, who were always happy to see him. He and Mary Jo made Riverfield a stronger, more joyful school. The world will miss him.

Ron Saizow was one of the best men I´ve known, warm, intelligent, accepting, completely at home in his own skin. Teaching Abby and Jeff was a joy and privilege, partly because of their splendid parents. Ron visited school to sit in his children´s classes even in high school, and his quiet presence in a back corner of the classroom, always with a book in hand, was a blessing for both his kids and me. He, along with Mary Jo, made Riverfield a stronger, more loving place.
