Ron, Mac and I are so greatful for knowing someone like you with such a big heart. We will not forget how you helped us out by making sure that I didn't miss my orthopedic appointment and in doing so, you carried me up and down the stairs with a willing heart. We appreciate you for your friendship and all of the fond memories.

Ron and I worked together during the last couple years of my railroad career and we got to talk a lot.
His family outings-camping, boating and riding their ATVs together, were the things Ron loved the most. His boundless love for his family was the biggest source of happiness in his life.
After his terrible accident and incredibly difficult recovery, he was devoted to helping others who had suffered. He spent many hours on the road, visiting friends and new acquaintances in the burn unit he spent so much time in, and helping those who suffered in other ways.
He truly cared for others and it is reflected in the sorrow so many feel at his passing.

Ronnie, you will be truly missed. I will miss that out of the blue phone call to see what has been going on. Our families have been together forever. I pray that Agnes, the kids, your mother and father, your siblings and all of the family find peace soon. Love you and will miss you.

Ron, we just learned of your passing and are deeply saddened by this news. You were intimidating at first to many here at the dental office, hahaha but we soon learned you were just a big ole teddy bear! We are thinking of the Schuler Family.

Ron, you will forever be missed.
One of my fondest memories was when we were driving down golflinks shortly after my car accident. I embarrassingly confessed to him I was struggling getting behind the wheel again, and felt a constant anxiety. I guess I expected a "get over it" kind of attitude as i got from my family, but instead he put his hand onto my shoulder and said "it gets easier." and told me a story of an accident when he was younger.
He was without judgment and full of support. There's a thousand other examples of how he impacted my life, but that one stood out the most. I felt comfort in the height of my storm.
Rest in peace Ron Schuler.

Ron was a great person. He was part of my work family. He had a big heart. He always worked to the best of his ability and he knew that in railroad work it takes working along with others to accomplish a job. No one could do it by their selves. Ron confided in me from time to time and he knew as I do that family was the most important thing to have in this life. Worth more than all the possessions in the world. Ron will always have a place in my heart. He was the only one to visit me when I was in the Hospital a while back. He knew the value of life. Silently to myself I thought of him as the gentle giant. I will miss you Ron but feel so honored in having had you as part of my work family.
You are in Peace now and I am sure will always have a special place in Heaven.

Thank you brother for all the laughs, memories, stupid jokes and the eggshells on my egg sandwich! I don't think we have ever laughed so hard! I will miss you on our yearly Patagonia trips. Somehow, tho, I think you will find a way to still make our trips interesting from wherever you may be!
