Ronald Leland Streibich

Houston - Ronald Leland Streibich, 87, passed away on December 23, 2023, in Houston, Texas. Born on May 5, 1936, in Peoria, Illinois, Ronald was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his sons, John and Jim Streibich, his sister Cindy Streibich, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one niece and four nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Leland Streibich, his mother, Evelyn Moffat Streibich, and his sister, Marilee Berger.

Ronald graduated from Peoria Central High School and went on to further his education, receiving a BA in Political Science at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. After completing his studies, he proudly served in the US Army from 1958 to 1960. Ronald's military associations were a significant part of his life.

Following his military service, Ronald directed fundraising efforts for several esteemed institutions, including Knox College, Northwestern University, St. Louis Children's Hospital, Texas Tech, and Texas A&M. Notably, he had the privilege of leading the fundraising effort for the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library.

In his leisure time, Ronald was an avid golfer. He enjoyed the challenge and relaxation that golf provided. Additionally, Ronald was an active member of the Space Center Rotary Club in Clear Lake, Texas.

Ronald will be remembered for his love of golf and his appreciation for the beauty of sunsets. His cheerful presence and dedication to his family and community will be deeply missed.

A private service will be held to honor Ronald's life and his contributions. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Ronald's memory.
