Ronald Gene Thompson

Ronald Gene Thompson, 60, of Auxvasse, Missouri, passed away on July 6, 2025. Born on August 14, 1964, Ronald, affectionately known as Ronnie, was a gentle soul cherished for his kindness and caring nature. He was a devout member of the Auxvasse Presbyterian Church and held his faith and family close to his heart.

Ronnie spent many years as a dedicated custodian at the Petro stopping center in Kingdom City, Missouri, a job he treasured and committed to wholeheartedly, biking 4 miles each way to maintain his independence. Despite his early challenges with learning disabilities, Ronnie resilience shone through. He was integrated into mainstream education in the 5th grade and went on to graduate from R-1 North Callaway High School alongside his twin brother, a testament to his determination and spirit.

Ronnie love for life was evident in his hobbies, especially his passion for WWE wrestling, with The Undertaker being his favorite wrestler. He proudly displayed several wrestling belts at his home, symbols of his enthusiasm for the sport.

Ronnie leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his sister, Candy (Harvie) Atterberry; brothers, Donnie (Allen) Thompson and Carl (Kathie) Ratliff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Carl Ratliff, and his sisters, Brenda Byrd and Margaret A. Ratliff, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A service to celebrate Ronnie life will be held at Auxvasse Presbyterian Church, 104 East Chestnut, Auxvasse, Missouri, on July 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Auxvasse Presbyterian Church or your local animal shelter, honoring Ronnie's love for his dog and animals in general. Ronnie's warm presence and jovial spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
