Your humble personality touched me deeply. You always greeted me when I came to church and even honored my request of giving me a copy of one of your sermons. God is welcoming you with wide open arms and says, "Well done ...."

Rev Yergey was the new pastor of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in the Oxford Circle section of Philadelphia, the year that I was in Confirmation class in 1969. There were 9 of us in the class, in a church with attendance of around 100 on a Sunday in the winter months. It was a great spiritual journey, and the Rev, with his long hair and beard that most in the congregation did not quite grasp, did a great job.
I was talking to my wife about him on Monday morning, and just for the heck of it Googled him. I was saddened to hear of his passing but had fond memories of him. God Bless you Ronald Yergey. My condolences to his family.

Dottie, Ron, Dave, and I enjoyed trips to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, the Greenbrier, Ocean City, Muhlenberg College plays, and family events over the years. We loved hanging out during blizzards, eating out, and just having fun. We shared our greatest joys and our deepest sorrows. The Yergeys are treasured friends who enriched our lives. We have been blessed to have them in our lives.
