Ronnie David Hackler, 63 of Gainesville, Texas passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Richardson Methodist Medical Center in Richardson, Texas. He was born on February 20, 1955 to Billy Joe Sr. and Elizabeth (Marcola) Hackler.
The third to the oldest of the Hackler children he was very well loved. Ronnie attended Gainesville High and then joined the U.S. Navy. He also attended North Central College and U.N.T. in Denton. Ronnie retired from the United States Postal Service.
Ronnie loved to golf and enjoyed outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Ronnie is survived by his son David Hackler, granddaughter, Audrey Hackler both of Stillwater, MN., sister, Sharon DuBois of Gainesville, four brothers, Mike Hackler and wife Nancy of Jefferson City, MO., Jerry Hackler and wife Brinda of Denton, Terry Hackler and wife Lisa of Denton and James Hackler and wife Roxi of Sanger, uncle, James Hackler of Gainesville, aunt, Linda Hackler, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother Billy Joe Hackler.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 3-5 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.

Brother Ronnie you fought one hell of a fight.There's no denying your true will to keep going in this physical world.You talked often of wanting to spend more time with your son David and granddaughter Audrey. I wish it could have been so. Your free now of your long and painful struggle. I'll truely miss you and I'll see one day down the line. I love you brother.
