Rosa Vella

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Rosa, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Hamilton General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Luigi (2015) for 61 years. Cherished mother of Joanne (Tony) Pagliaro and Maria (Marcello) Filice. Adored Nonna of John (Melissa), Vanessa and Michael. Loved Nonnuzza of Adriano. Rosa is predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Maria Alfano and parents in law Alfonso and Giovanna Vella. Dear sister of Maria (late Vincenzo) Vaccarello, Giovanna (late Carmelo) Cavaleri, Filippo (Giuseppina) Alfano, Sara (Giuseppe) Scalia and Carmelo (Giuseppina) Alfano. Dear sister-in-law of the late Maria and Giuseppe Lamendola and the late Rosa and Giuseppe Russo. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends from Canada, Italy, U.S.A. Rosa's passion in life included her beloved family, baking, cooking and her work sewing baby clothes at Tiny Tots. She believed in celebrating life's special occasions in a big way because gathering with family provided great joy.
