Rosalind Phipps Taylor, age 76, passed away at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury, Maryland, on Monday, March 20, 2023. Born in Snow Hill, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Guy Phipps and Nellie Chesser Phipps.
Rosalind graduated from Snow Hill High School in 1964. She was employed by the Worcester County Clerk of Court Office and later retired from the Worcester County Developmental Center. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family. Her recipe books were her prized possession! Most of her mornings started with a crossword puzzle, and she could often be found reading on the patio in the afternoon sun.
She is survived by a son, Michael Taylor (Lisa), a daughter, Shannon Phillips (Bruce), two sisters, Ellen Outten and Cynthia Cooling, two grandchildren, Chase Phillips and Erin Phillips, two step-grandchildren, Kayla Cold and Falon Cold, and two step-great-grandchildren, Addie Cold and John Chandler, IV.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at The Burbage Funeral Home in Snow Hill. Friends may call one our prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scleroderma Research Foundation, 220 Montgomery Street, Suite 484, San Francisco, CA 94104 or at srfcure.org. Letters of condolence can be sent to the family via www.burbagefuneralhome.com. Arrangements are in the care of The Burbage Funeral Home.
