McHENRY - Rosalyn A. Simpson nee Mlckovsky, 71, of McHenry, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at her home.

She was born Dec. 24, 1936, in Chicago, to Emil and Rose (Biondi) Mlckovsky. On April 27, 1957, she married James A. Simpson at St. Ferdinand Church in Chicago.

She was a graduate of Providence High School.

Together, she and her husband raised their family before moving to McHenry in March 1996.

She loved to watch game shows, especially "The Price is Right."

She was a proud breast-cancer survivor of three years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years. She was the cherished mother of Laura (Michael) Holtz of Round Lake Beach and Greg (Jan Cohen) Simpson of Arlington Heights; doting grandmother of Jason, Breanna, Cori and Dayle; and devoted niece of Dorothy Fratto of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 2. An evening blessing time is pending at George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry.

Inurnment will be private.
