RAPONI, Rosaria (Bottoni)
Rosaria (Bottoni) Raponi, 97, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of the late Tommaso Raponi, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012. She was born October 2, 1915 in Monte San Giovanni Compano, province of Frosinone, Italy, the daughter of the late Francesco and Antonia (Cinelli) Bottoni. Prior to her retirement Rosaria was employed at Greca Brothers in Hartford. She is survived by a son Enrico Raponi and his wife Lilliana of Frosinone, Italy; two daughters Maria Teresa Sciucco and her husband Arnaldo of Windsor and Livia Raponi of Rocky Hill; four grandchildren Marina Sciucco and her husband Matthew Jorgensen of Wethersfield, Patricia Smith and Mark Allen of South Glastonbury, Marco Raponi of Frosinone, Italy and Arnaldo "Nano" Sciucco Jr. and his wife Samantha of Cromwell and three great grandchildren Brianna Maria Smith, Christopher David Sciucco and Julia Rose Sciucco. Rosaria is also survived by a sister Filomena Bottoni of Frosinone, Italy. A special thank you to Wethersfield Health Care and Apple Rehab for taking excellent care of our beloved Rosaria.
Funeral services will leave Saturday, December 29th at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 280 Brook Street, Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are TODAY from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. For on-line expressions of sympathy please visit www.desopo.com.
