The Matriarch of the Gavilán Rogers clan has passed away on the 2nd of August 2022 at 1:43 PM at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. Rosario Gavilán Rogers, mother to surviving children Willam Fernando Rogers, Diana Lee Schnurr, and David Frank Rogers. Devoted and loving wife to deceased husband Frank Lloyd Lee Rogers ('91). A grandmother (GM) and great grandmother (GGM) to Willie's clan of Krystle, Jared (GM), Pax and Neo (GGM). Diana's children Jaqueline and Zachary Schnurr (GM). David's children of Sebastian Rogers and Sydnie Butler (GM). Syd's kids Amberlynn, Piper, and Declan (GGM).

An adventurous and strong-willed woman from the little pueblo of Alcalá de Los Gazules in the province of Cadiz, Spain. Known as Charo to her close friends and family, she was born on January 19th, 1931 to Fernando Gavilán and Francisca Romero. Following in her father's footsteps, Charo became an educator with an accountant degree from the University of Seville. Marrying the love of her life, Frank Lloyd Lee Rogers, in November 1962 in Lisbon, Portugal. Followed shortly were Willie and Dede in Seville and Davey in California. Charo spent her career with the County of Riverside for 22 years ending as the Accounting Manager at Indio Juvenile Hall; selling real estate in her retirement years. A world traveler who cherished the distinct cultures she visited. Always wanting to play that next bingo game. A woman strong in stance yet so graceful in full flamenco dance.
