Roscoe Brooks was born on Oct. 30, 1974 to John Albert Brooks and Idella Wallace. He graduated from Okolona High School in 1994. While attending Okolona High School, Mr. Brooks was an outstanding running back. He assisted the Okolona High School Chieftains football team in achieving a state championship. He continued his graduation at Itawamba Community College in Fulton. He also attended and graduated from Gibson Barber College in West Point. Mr. Brooks established his own business and became proprietor of Legit Barber Shop in Shannon. He was preceded in death by his mother Idella Wallace and brother Gabriel Walton. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and loving wife of sixteen years, Latasha Gunn Brooks. His Father; John Albert Brooks. Three daughters; Faygan, Gabrielle, and Dillon. Two sons; Roman and Colton. Seven brothers; Raffieal Wallace (Tommie Berry), Christopher Brooks, Alvin Brooks, Timothy Brooks (Kassie), Demon Trice, Everett Brooks, and Albert Walton. Two sisters; Farren Brooks and Lakeisha Walton. Grandmother; Mrs. Annie Mae Brooks.

The service will be Sat., March 24, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Okolona High School Gymnasium. The visitation will also be Sat., from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the school gymnasium.

Williams Memorial was in charge of all arrangements.
