Rosie was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was my mother's best friend, and I grew up living next door to her on Sheridan Avenue in the Bronx. I was fortunate to know her my whole life, and I was very close to her right up until the end. Rosie will always be with me, in my heart, with the love I have for her and in my mind, with the wonderful memories I have of her.

Rosie Cohen was one of my neighbors in the house in which I was raised on Sheridan Avenue in the Bronx. Her sons, Alan and Ira, were a little older than I. I have very fond memories of Rosie (I have a very clear picture of her in my mind's eye) and was sorry to learn of her passing. It must be 50 years or more since I've seen her, but I always remember her as being one of the "Donna Reed" moms. She was always dressed beautifully in her pencil skirt, coordinating blouse, 3-inch heels and matching bag in the crook of her arm -- and her long red hair -- to go to the grocery store. My condolences to her family.
