Rose with Linda (Petris) Willard
Linda Willard
February 23, 2019
I'm writing this at the request of my mom, Linda (Petris) Willard who was surprised to learn of Rose's passing. My wife found the obituary online, when my mom said she hadn't heard back from Rose in the past month. Last summer my mom and I visited with Rose (as we typically do every couple of years) and lots of memories were shared. Rose and Linda were friends from grammar school. I'll write the memories quoting my mom who doesn't have a computer to respond here.
I remember in the 1930s riding in Rose's parents red convertible through Edgeworth (we were neighbors). I remember her little white dog, Skippy and the fun we always had together. Rose always wore beautiful satin dresses and a bow in her hair. She was a very proper girl and maintained her elegance throughout life. I'll miss her and wish her family the best in keeping her memory alive.

Rose was a vibrant, fun-loving woman who will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. I will never forget her warm encouragement and delicioius dinners, which she sometimes made in 4" heels! A stylish lady indeed!
