Rose Ferreira Obituary
FERREIRA, Rose Ann
According to God's plan, Rose Ann Ferreira went home on October 12, 2006. Rose was born on December 12, 1922, in Sacramento, Calif. She received her B.A. in teaching from Chico State College. Rose started teaching in Hawaii, where she met Adam, the love of her life. They courted on Poipu beach, moved to California and were married. Much of their 51 years were spent traveling, playing tennis, swimming, square dancing, and entertaining at their Hayward home. Rose and Adam were involved in their church, St. Joachim's. Rose was a lover of animals and children, and often advocated for those less fortunate than herself. She was an active member of her community, and she volunteered in various capacities throughout her life, including serving a term as President of University Women. Rose is survived by her husband Adam and their daughter Lisa. A memorial service will be held on November 2 at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim's, 21250 Hesperian Blvd. in Hayward. Please send all donations to Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael, Calif.
