Shirley-Ann Francis Crilly August 2, 1934 March 18, 2011 Resting in the quiet, gentle presence of God Mom passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Palliative Care Unit on Friday, March 18, 2011. She will be forever missed by her husband of 53 years Donald Bud Crilly and her 3 Boys Brad Crilly and Paul Crilly both of Calgary and Grant Crilly of Saskatoon along with their families including five grandchildren. Shirley-Ann was predeceased by her mother, Lillian MacConnel(MacPherson) and father Alex MacPherson and step-father Alex MacConnel. She is also survived by her brothers Lorne MacPherson of Saskatoon, Blaine MacPherson of Vernon, B.C. and step brother Howard MacConnel of Calgary. Shirley-Ann was born August 2, 1934 in Dinsmore, SK where she resided until embarking on her life long love of nursing. She started her nurses' training in 1953 at Providence Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK. In 1956 she moved to Saskatoon and began her journey of compassion, caring and giving as a registered nurse at the Royal University Hospital and then as a devoted wife and mother. She married Bud Crilly in Saskatoon on June 7th, 1958 and was incredibly dedicated to raising her family, which she always considered her greatest accomplishment. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Bethel United Church, Saskatoon, at 1p.m. Humans are sacred whatever their capacities or incapacities and whatever their strengths and weaknesses. Each of us has an instrument to bring to the vast orchestra of humanity and each of us needs help to become all that we might be.
