Thinking of all the teachers my kids have had and the few that are gems. Every single one I hold up to Mrs. Kerr, and even the best seem to fall a smidgen short. Mrs. Kerr was one of a kind. I always think of you when the Christmas cards start coming, and there is one that I've missed dearly for the past few years. Love, Jenny

Hi Rosemary,
Thank you for your message. Your mom was such an amazing woman. I was going through my address book for Christmas cards, and I can't bear to delete her address. Each time I see her name there it brings me happy memories. I loved her focus on art in the classroom, and she taught my friends and me other things like how to crochet the afghan stitch and make baskets with jute and yarn.
She came to my wedding - were you the guest that game with her? I still have the afghan she made for me for a wedding present.
During a parent conference with my mom she mentioned another girl in the class whose friend wasn't being so kind to her. She thought Jane and I would be good as friends. The next day, Jane and I started playing together, and we were best friends for years! Mrs. Kerr's insight was spot on.
Much love to you, Rosemary. I lost my dad a few years ago, and it's the happy, wonderful times that make me think of him and bring a tear to my eye.
Love,
Jennifer

Mrs. Kerr was my favorite teacher, considering all I had up through college. She was kind, artistic, witty, intelligent, caring, and took an interest in each of us as an individual. We kept in touch through our annual Christmas cards, and hers was always the one I looked forward to receiving the most. She was an A+ class act - every child would be blessed to have such a teacher in their life. What a legacy she left behind. I love you, Mrs. Kerr.

My late husband and I were very fond of Rose. She taught our daughter Jennifer at W.D. Hall and we were always impressed at how concerned she was with her pupils. A great teacher and a very nice lady. Heather Berry.

We were Rose's neighbors for 4 years when my husband was in the Navy. Rose and her sister Olive were wonderful neighbors.

My husband and I would like you to know how very much we enjoyed having Rose as a neighbor. We moved into our home in January 1969 so we have known her a very long time. We shall miss seeing and talking to her.
You were all so lucky to have her in your family. We know you all cherished her.
