Rose Mok Obituary
Rose T. Mok nee Woo, born in Hong Kong passed away at VGH peacefully with family at her side. Predeceased by husband Henry Man-Lit Mok (1999), son Dr. David Y. Mok (1994). Survived by daughters Margaret Mok, Patricia Luk, son-in-law Dr. David Luk, granddaughters Caroline & Samantha Luk; brother Edward, sisters Nellie (Chau Sing), Katie, Victoria (Tai Chi) and Gladys & many nephews,nieces,grandnephews&grandnieces. Most appreciated was the assistance and devotion of her most loyal caregiver Donna. She was invaluable in helping Rose navigate the last years of her life.
She began her law career at Bull Housser and practiced for over 30 years retiring in 2005 as an associate lawyer from the firm Burns, Fitzpatrick, Rogers & Schwartz.
Rose led an extraordinary life blessed by God's Grace and the friendship and community of those who surrounded her. She lived a life based on Faith, Love and Charity. She touched the lives of many.
Service of Remembrance on Friday Sept.18, 1:30pm, St. John's Shaughnessy Anglican Church, 1490 Nanton at Granville near 27th. Father Michael Fuller - Officiant.
Reception following. Flowers gratefully declined. If so wished, donations may be made in memory of Rose T. Mok and directed to VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, 190-855 West 12th Ave.Vancouver, BC V5Z 1M9 or The Arthritis Society, 895 West 10th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1L7.

We fondly remember our Sunday lunches after church with Mrs. Mok and the Luk family. We are thankful for Mrs. Mok kindness in visiting us after Rod came down with RA. She is now in glory with her Father in heaven.

Patricia: I have always admired and respected your mother---very intelligent and accomplished yet so humble and gracious. Even though she is now in an angelic place she will be missed here by all that knew her ! RIP Rose.

Rose was a "fighter" and like a surrogate grandmother to me. I admired her strong spirit and faith. She was always modest, encouraging, empathic and loving. Sincere condolences to her family and Donna. The Wee family will miss her tremendously.
