Last night we said good-bye to "Our Dear Sweet Rose". She was one of our St. David Columbiettes - Auxiliary 10230 founding members. She loved life, helping others and truly a spiritual being!!! What an amazing life she was blessed with. You will truly be missed!! Eternal rest and love for you, Rose Preseau, our Columbiette sister!!

"Of all flowers, methinks a rose is best."-William Shakespeare. Rose you were the best. You were our leader in many firsts at St. David. I wasn't there for many of them, but I have heard a lot about them through the years from you and others. Where would we have been without you, Sweet Rose? Our lives would have been so different. I am so glad that I had a chance to meet you, work along side you in many areas and especially learn from you. You will forever be the Patriarch of the Women's Club of which I have had the privilege of being the Vice President and then the President of. Thank you for your guidance. The Rose Preseau Award, which of course, was named in honor of all the volunteering you do. I enjoyed the years I helped you doing the Rosary and anything else you asked me to do. I am truly going to miss you, my Friend. Stay sweet but make sure you rule the roost up there. Plenty of St. David people have gathered and waiting for you with open arms. Say hello for me! Love ya, Rose!!

Rose was the president of the Women's Club at Saint David when I joined. She set a wonderful example and I was happy to take that position at a later time and still cherish my Rose Preseau Award. I'm happy that I got to see her when I was visiting Florida last year and I'm looking forward to living with my sister Jane in the home that she bought from Rose. I'm moving back to Florida and will be there in time to attend the services in her honor next week.

I met Rose in the process of buying her wonderful home. I will always be grateful she chose me to love her home as she did. She was a beautiful woman that I feel blessed to have known.

We will always cherish our hellos with Rose after Mass on Sundays. Our son was an altar server at Saint David (this is going back to the early 2000's), and Rose would always make time to share a smile and say something kind and encouraging to him. It meant a great deal to him and to me. She was such a vibrant, loving, and generous woman. She walked with God everyday ... I think we can all look to her as a model for living our faith. We will miss her but give thanks to God for her. Please accept our deepest condolences and know that Rose and her family, including our Saint David family, are in our prayers.
