My life will never be the same because of Miss Rose! I am a blessed man because I experienced her love, smile and passion for Christ. It was infectious and continues to have an impact.
It's kind of ironic that I was unable to be at her memorial service because I was on a trip with our collegiate group. I guess was doing what she taught me!
On behalf of each of our family members, we express our thanks to her family for sharing her with so many of us.
Well done Rose!
What a world we would live in if we all lived with such passionate, unconditional love!

Dear Barbara & Ron,
I am very sorry for your loss. I spent time with your mother when she came to Sacramento to visit her sister Bea. She was such a unique person and it was my privilege to have known her. I have never met anyone like her and I know I never will again.
All who knew her will surely miss her.

Miss Rose will be missed, but she is where she has wanted to be her whole life- with our Lord. I think of her and she was Sunday school on steroids. She made sunday school a time I reflect on and smile. Our sunday school was second to none- she was so full of energy and her love for the lord was evident in her everyday actions. She made learning fun- her famous end of the sunday school year auctions, where we earned "CW Dollars" for every verse we memorized, picnics, but most of all, she taught us at a very tender age the life lessons and values that have made us the people we are today. I can not think of any other person who has taught to many about the Lord with such grace and passion. Thank you Lord for blessing us with Miss Rose. I am blessed to have known you. Love to your family, Aida, Morton Grove

Miss Rose was my spiritual mentor. I met her in 1985 at Carter Westminster Church and she led me to teach Sunday school, to study and teach in the children's program at Bible Study Fellowship, and finally to attend seminary where I just finished my degree in May. I remember the "roast" we had for her at church years ago when parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren came forward to tell her how she touched them and to literally sing her praises. I hope the "Miss Rose" Sunday school room still bears her name. She was a true Christian in every sense of the word.

I only met Rose about two times but learned a lot about her from her son, Ron. She truly walked the talk. What a better place the world would be with more Roses.
Eternal rest grant unto Rose, Oh Lord, and let Thy perpetual light shine upon her.

Dear Ron and Barbara and all relatives of your wonderful mother. My deepest sympathy and condolences to you in this time of sorrow.
"Aunt Rose" was such a wonderful and sweet lady. She really was an example of kindness and had such a warm heart, despite all the hardships she went through in her life.
Even though she lived such a long life in relatively good health, her passing is sad, but her warm voice and beautiful smile I will remember and treasure for the rest of my life. The last time I talked to her on the phone a few weeks ago, she mentioned that she can't wait to be finally united with the Lord. I am sure if there is one person, who has an eternal place in heaven it is Rose Sargis.I will surely miss her and hope it gives you some peace that she touched so many people with her beautiful soul.
Sincerely,
David A. Yonan
