As she both volunteered in my classroom and became one of the greatest friends I could ever have, she became a very important teacher to me. She taught me how to be both loving and strong. She taught me to not listen to a mean person who is just angry for the sake of being hateful. She taught me to speak up for others and myself even if it's hard. But she always reminded me to never let anyone steal my smile. My Dad is with her and Tom and that gives me a little lift because they're together with alot of friends.

I'm so blessed with some wonderful memories of Mickey volunteering in my kindergarten classroom. She loved to see their progress throughout the year and attended many graduations. The kids loved her and said she's so beautiful and smells like flowers! I will definitely miss her friendship and encouragement. She could always make me laugh, even if everything was going badly. She was one of a kind and God blessed us all with a special and generous person.
