I don't know where to begin. First, to all my cousins, you have no idea the grief I feel for you, as you know I lost my mother a short time ago. There are no words that can be said, except "my heart goes out to you". I loved Aunt Rose and I love all of you. I also am so sorry for Steve. He has lost his best friend. Aunt Rose "Is Villa Rosa" in her chair reading her paper looking out at the sound. She was always the one to keep us in line as children. I have very fond memories. What a wonderful woman! Aunt Rose, you will be missed by all who were blessed to be in your life.
All my love,
Miles

Dear Steve and Lily:
I feel so honored to have known Rosemary. She was such a lady, kind and thoughtful and absolutely a lovely person to be around. It will be a wonderful memory for me to know that I helped you two entertain for the last time. Your Valentine's Day dinner was just perfect for you and your friends. How I'll miss getting to sit and talk with her. I'm so sorry.
Love you,
Sharon

Dearest Laureen, Tommy, Cathy, Susie and Charlie,
I wish I could be with you all on such a sad occasion...Jimmy does also. However it would not be possible at this time for many reasons. I am sure you know if at all possible we would definitely be there for you.
My first memories of your mother were when she first returned home to Woodmont after attending the University of Miami. She was so young and vibrant, bubbly, silly, giggly, laughing, happy, pretty and so full of life. I remember when she first started dating my cousin Tom Nolan... later to become your Dad. We all had such good times...her mother and father singing and playing the piano "You are my ball and chain". We were all young then and life was great! I remember when they got married and I later remember when we all anxiously awaited the arrival and the birth of each and every one of you. What happy days! We were all so lucky to have shared such good times together on Villa Rosa Terrace. All the nieces and nephews and cousins all growing up together. It was like one big happy family. Oh yeah we had our disagreements---like any family does but we were "family" and we shared the ups and downs...
I remember the very sad days too...when your Dad died...what a loss that was. He too was so full of life! But the one thing that stands out in my was your Mom... left with 5 kids raise all alone. I don't know where she got the strength... but she did and I know it was far from easy. I told her just a couple of years ago that looking back over those years how much I admired her. She became a very strong courageous woman. She had these 5 lively youngsters to raise and she did it all alone and she did a super job! You all turned out beautifully... Well mannered, well spoken, out going---a fine tribute to your Dad and especially to your Mom.
We were all so happy for her when Steve came into her life. She was happy...she had done a super job raising all of you.... now it was her time to have a life of her own. And what a wonderful life Steve gave her. I doubt there are many places left in the world that he didn't take her. They went everywhere together and had wonderful times together. Steve will surely be lost without her. I am sure you all will watch out for him and take care of him. He is a super guy!!
Hopefully you all have inherited her strength, courage, and fortitude. We will all miss Rosemary...she was special. You are lucky to have such beautiful memories and I am sure you will treasure them always...
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all...
With much love,
Aunt Pat and Jimmy
