I often think back to the days when we gigged with Wish. Really fun times and happy memories. Such a talent and such a nice guy.

My sincere condolences to Ross's family. Ross was my first teenage love and I was lucky to know such a kind, thoughtful gentle soul with a wicked sense of humour, and that amazing smile. My mum and dad still talk about Ross being the only person who slept with a smile on his face...when he stayed over he would be on the camp bed in the lounge still smiling. RIP Ross and lots of love to your family.

Sorry to have missed your birthday Ross. I never knew you well, just through music. We were lucky enough to play a few gigs with you. We were always in awe of your talent, but then we were struck by what a nice person you are. This can be rare in music. A unique talent. I still listen to your music and am moved by it.

Happy 51st Birthday Ross. Been thinking lately of the day we went busking together in Stratford. Hot sunny day, we made lots of money & spent it all in Stratford beer gardens. Great day! Still singing for you but nothing beats listening to you.
Ingrid´s singing is fantastic too now, she´s doing you proud!
We love & miss you very much,

I often think about Ross & even after so many years I still miss his beaming smile & great sense of humour. I still have some old emails we sent to each other in 2005 and I read them and laugh at the silliness! I loved working at Underground with Ross, he was the kindest & funniest person & we always had fun. I still miss you Ross & I know wherever you are you're making someone smile! Thank you for everything xxx

We lit a candle in the 11th, Ross, and watched one of your videos. It was wonderful seeing you laughing and happy, surrounded by friends, playing guitar and singing your terrific songs in that marvellous voice of yours. Keep playing and singing, darling, wherever you are, and smiling your special smile.

Sending love and positivity. Having met Ross playing music in and around Cov and Warwickshire, he was easily the nicest, most genuine person I’ve met. We were proud to be on Radio 1 Unsigned at the same time and rather than it being competition it was camaraderie. We’d swap messages and support ideas on MySpace!

Seeing Ross sing live was always a treat and even now Schizophrenia is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard.

Rest in power Ross. I still miss your voice.

I had the pleasure of making a freind in Ross as he frequently came into Oxfam books and music in Leamington Spa to rummage through the music where I helped out, with what I made note of as the most beaming smile I had ever laid eyes on. I took great pleasure in cups of tea with such a compassionate, empathetic, enthusiastic, humble, philosophic and musical man.
The comment Ross' father made at his funeral about the bond of love living on as Ross had told him echoes on in my thoughts
with Ross.

A tragic loss. Sadly, it always seems to be that the best people are taken away from us all far too soon.

Your kindness, humour, and endearing presence will never be forgotten.

Fond memories of the fun social times shared with you and friends in Kenilworth (Park Road) between 1993-1996.

You will be missed by all who were fortunate to know you.

(Written and read at the service)

A spark of beach
draped in vanilla amber and gold streaks
steals our horizon forever

A snowflake falls onto the iris of our future,
A mercurial distance maps across our canvas
plural comet trails trace a picture; We make a wish.

Our fingertips softly surface the shape
of the rare, the blue
our fireplace eyes, charcoal, water away
the spilled secrets of our dreams cosy behind the curtains of our sleep.

An endless blue, starry and deep
Our barefoot sideways glances listen
We make along our own true words
We are Worley's at this beach, with a little Elvis at our feet.

Waves circle, caress, the rock and roll of your perfect soul
We surf across them all and hold our breath
We lose our balance and we fall
Into the deep whirlpools of your dreaming
We try to reach the bottom of your deep blue sea with the tips of our toes
We trace the night skies for your tigerstone eyes
The guitar strings you graced grieve your touch
All of the words in the universe are lost without your thoughts,

A spark of beach
holds all of our past, our history we keep
the soles of our feet stay close in our sleep
the mercurial distance pyramids and steeps
the colour of our closeness speaks.
We capture a light, a luminosity between
that separates, that closes, opens, also heals.

We keep the beaches of our dreamings safe
We keep the beaches of our feelings awake,

Snowflake trails paint and colour
the forever, the endless, the always,
that separates, closes, opens and falls
A thousand times over, a thousand times before...

Ross has been a great influence in both our lives and we have so many wonderful memories of him. He introduced us to best friends, music, boyfriends, pubs.... all sorts over the years. We are both very lucky to have known him. He was an amazing musician & a spellbinding actor on the stage, no one will ever play Dorian Gray so beautifully as Ross.
It was with great shock that we heard of Ross' illness & untimely death. Our thoughts are now very much with Angela, Peter, Danni and all those Ross held dear.
He'll be rockin' and laughing forever in our memories.

I did not know Ross, but he served me in Fopp/MVC when he worked there. It just seems so sad that another talented and gracious person should have to die so young. Ross conveyed everything that is good in the world, not just to his family and friends but to everyone he meet in everyday life. So sorry

Great as his tremendous talent was, it was not the most striking thing about Ross. He was a wonderful friend - ever generous, with never a bad word to say about anyone. He could light up a room with his smile, wit and warmth. We'll miss him immensely.

Don't really know how i knew Ross but he always said hello to me when i saw him around town. He had such a lovely smile, it brightened my day when i saw him but it always left me a bit baffled as to where i knew him from.I wish i had asked him now. Although somehow when i think about it, it didn't seem to matter where i knew him from, his warm smile was enough for me. I was shocked when i read in the paper that Ross had passed away. Feb 10th is my birthday and i will always think of him on that day. Although i didn't know him i know he was a very special person. Rest in peace angel x

I couldn't believe it when I read in the paper that Ross had died - I still can't. How can you sum up someone who touched so many people's lives and and always in the greatest way. Cold winter's days trudging to work at Underground were always brightened up by the smiling face that greeted you. Ross,
I only knew you as a customer of Vision Express and it was a surprise to learn your age (a very young 34) and that you were a musician also. You were always the first to greet me with a smile when I visited the store. It seemed you had so much more to achieve in your life and I'm very sad it's come to a sudden and premature end. I really hope your family, friends and colleagues can come to terms with what's happened to you. It seems you certainly won't be forgotten. Bye Ross - god bless

My daughter Tracey worked with Ross at MVC and through her I got to speak to him and as I worked in Leamington I used to see him regularly in town on my lunch break and ask after the band and he would ask after Tracey who now resides in Bristol. We were both very upset at Ross's death and Heaven gained a talented angel when he arrived and what a welcome voice for us all when we go there.A much missed member of the community, the town will seem a sad place without his lovely smile. So on behalf of Tracey and myself condolences to all his family band members and close friends.
