David Christian Obituary
David was born Oct. 13, 1949, in Bartley, West Virginia, to the late Mastin and Oma (McIntosh) Christian.
He married Carolyn DeRossett on March 2, 1968, in Kendallville and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2003. David retired from Essex Wire in 2012 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Bethel Christian Baptist Church.
Survivors include: sons Mark (Barbara) Christian, Fort Wayne, and Kevin (Sabrina) Christian, Auburn; a daughter, April (David) Blank, Owensboro, Kentucky; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters Pauline Frazier,Ashland, Kentucky, and Nancy "Doll" White, Spartanburg, South Carolina; and brothers Everett Christian, Kendallville, Robert "Bob" (Theresa) Christian, Huntersville, North Carolina, and Tom Christian, LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ellis "Teen" Christian, Amy Tedesco, Florence Laxton, and Larry Christian.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Bethel Christian Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church, with visitation an hour prior to the funeral service. Officiating the service will be Pastor Shawn Shepherd.
Burial will take place at Orange Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
