Good morning Ross, happy birthday my friend! I believe you are up in heaven looking down on me and everyone else with that wonderful smile, standing propped on your bike, ready for another great ride. I hope the feeling of your incredible spirit helps everyone thinking about you have that much better of a day. You always did, and still do that, for me!

I´m sorry I am so late to this. I learned about Ross´ passing just today. I don´t mean to trigger anyone after the time that has passed. But I wanted to share that Ross had the best energy. He was always so happy to run into me, despite that we were not particularly close. We had a handful of HHS classes together and Ross made every interaction I had with him a positive one. I´m heartbroken that such a beautiful person is gone.

Dear Annie, Bill, and Clare: It is with heartfelt sadness and regret that we have only recently found out about Ross's passing. Though we heard by word of mouth through his friends, that he had passed, we could not find anything to verify his passing until my periodic searches found this webpage. We did not know where you were or how to reach you. We apologize that we could not mourn with you at the time of your loss, but we can share our sorrow with you as we know you must feel his loss everyday. We have the best memories of the boys and Clare when you were so kind as to be his caregiver during their early years. I particularly remember one very lovely, if very cold, St Patrick's day and Ross and Bill's great love for Star Wars. Jonathan always felt very close to Clare in those days and viewed her as a sister he never had. Those were good days, before days got hard later on. We are thankful for that experience. While we did not have the privilege to know Ross later as a young man, we did now him as a wonderful boy. I cannot imagine your pain even now after a year since his loss, but we mourn with you and wish it was not so.
With greatest respect:
Robyn, John and Jonathan Casto

A bunch of us, his brother´s Ben and Paul included, Kevin Noe, Mark Haggen, Willie Hoag, PJ Wallentine, Aaron Wallentine, Sam Grey, Evan Grady, Chad Werenko, Jeff Parker, Billie Pepper, Greg Smith, Andrew Smith, Evan Michowski and brothers, Lisa and Kristen Koffman, Jason Vigil, Adam B?, Cameron Clarke, Marcel, Nate Carlstrom, and sis, Brandon Keiphart, Cesar Lopez, Harijot Gudijot, Matt (red hair)a bunch more , too many to remember or list , but that was the main groups of us. We would have revolving pick up sports games at the various parks around ridgecrest and rough each other up every chance we got after school or on weekends, holidays, and those were the best of memories as a child growing up in this neighborhood. Also the smell of his parents house during snack time! Always pretentious and previlaged we all were at that young age, ripe and ready for a fight or final inning to hold bragging rights till the next show down!! ( Other names I forgot to mention , Ben, Casey, KC, Duff, Micheal Heinz, Mike Casias, Alex, Nathan, Eric Sundae, Eric Hoag, Lucy Hoag, Neil Grady, Benjimen Tyler, Val Sloan, Kate Collin´s-Fabiuan, Rochelle, Megan, Marissa Butchart, ) Dang the list seems to be endless. And the memories even more so!!! Some of which may be missed, and missed dearly, but never forgotten!!!

I will always remember Ross by how he ALWAYS had the brightest smile and the loudest laughter in the room. I greatly admired his ability to balance his passionate hobbies and work. He would always race down the streets on his road bike to make sure he wasn't late for class. He was a straight up honest guy. Sure will miss him. Rest in peace bro!

I remember the first time I met Ross, and and he had good things to say about me before I even knew who he was. Ross made my life 20,000,000 times better! I remember playing soccer with Ross, competing with Ross to finish our math homework, and watching many sunsets together when we were in high school. When I look at the beautiful evening skies, I can see his awesome smile! I will never forget you Ross. JT

Ross is my Godson, and his memorial service will be at the same chapel where he and his sister Clare were baptized. Ross was kind-hearted and outgoing, super smart and a talented engineer. I love him dearly, and his mom is my Best Friend Forever. Ross' death at this young age is a great loss to us all.

Ross was there for me in ways that went beyond expectations. He always loved my love of hockey and watched Blackhawk´s games with me and our dogs though our teams were rivals. He reveled in my intensity for the game, was there for me when I felt lost, and reminded me regularly what friendship is really about. I´ve been missing you Rorocito, thank you for your light.
