Semie, Mary Nellie and Ben and family,
I was sorry to read of Rowan's death in the Eagle. My heart goes out to all of you in such a loss.

Rowan was my son and will forever be missed. He was a good person, friend, son, brother, grandson, nephew.

Rowan? It breaks my heart to use the past tense. Because, Rowan? He always had the swiftest voice, the most brilliantly convoluted remark, the most incisive humor. When we lost this young man, we have lost the sharpest tool in the shed. I will weep for you every time you appear in my imagination. Because that is where you will inhabit everybody who loved you. As the impossibly big energy, you would be.
