Roxanne Leino Goodwin

Goodwin, Roxanne Leino (age 56) of Chaska, MN, passed away on June 13, 2011 at Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home in Chaska after a two-year battle with ALS. Roxy was born July 4, 1954 in Duluth, MN. She graduated from Esko High School in 1972 and obtained a degree from St. Scholastica-Duluth in 1976. She was employed in the nursing profession for 33 years. Roxy was a loving and caring woman whose kind heart and beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her. Roxy was preceded in death by her husband, Riley D. Goodwin; parents, Teino M. and Geraldine Leino; and her beloved poodles, Smokey and Choco, who greeted her as she danced her way into heaven. She is survived by her twin brother, Ronald M. (DeAnna) Leino of Superior, WI; sister, Sally B. Leino of Chaska, MN; niece and nephew, Jennie V. and James M. Leino of Duluth, MN; best friend, Nancy Carlson of Duluth, MN; aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends, particularly the N-C-L Gals. A special thank you to the staff at Ridgeview Home Care and Hospice, Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home, St. Francis Hospital, AgeWell Home Care, The ALS Foundation, Dr. Sandra Morris, Caitlin and Natalie (her ALS volunteers), and to Kathy, Liz, and Peggy for all their help and support. Visitation from 1:30 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service Sunday, June 26th, 2011 in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Edina Chapel, 7100 France Ave. S., Edina. Interment will be held at a later date along the north shore of Lake Superior.
