Dear Hocko Family,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Roxanne. I knew her through the Williamsville Writers and her humorous critiques of my sorry attempts at novel writing would give Jay Leno enough material for years!
Sincerely,

Dear Dr. Hocko,
Taking care of Roxanne in the clinic was always such a pleasure. I had realized shortly after she started to come, she was one I was going to form a relationship with, and did, which was an honor. I have read the other guest book entries and love the descriptions for her sense of humor...all are so true. I don't know how she did it, but she could turn anything into something to make you laugh. Sometimes I think she was trying to cheer me up! She took this disease and fought it with all she had. She may have been worried or scared, but if she was, I couldn't spot it anywhere under her exterior.

Working with you at Sisters, and knowing what a great man you are, I felt even more privileged to care for Roxanne, and help her through the tough days. She was a fantastic woman.

May it help bring you peace, knowing Roxanne is now with God and no longer is so sick.

Peace,
Erin Heerdt, RN

To the Hocko family. So sorry to hear. Yes. Roxanne was so very funny and generous and creative. Still it all paled to how deeply she felt toward those she loved. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Hocko Family,
What a loss! I worked with Roxanne at the VA, and remember her competence and wit and extend my deepest sympathy. "A pinch of humor, a touch of mirth to lighten the shadowy parts of the earth"- that was Roxanne.

My Fathers side of the family tree was always so small to me as a child and yet she filled it up to full capacity with her presence. She was so dynamic with her sharp wit and uncanny sarcastic personality.

Lost in the background of who she was -to me personally as I grew- were the things that really made her such salt of the earth. The caring for her Mother, raising her family, returning my (all too infrequent) emails with her kind/funny words. I assume there is so much more I did not know of as I aged and communication faded.

I am so very sorry Uncle Mike. Your wonderful wife is gone and so is my “Aunt Rocky”.
