He was such a faithful person. He was dedicated to serve his clients with care and compassion. What a loving person and servant. I miss being able to call AmFam and get advice. Thank you Roy!

You can still catch a whiff of mischief in his recent photo. Roy liked a good practical joke. I remember when we were all carpooling from the twin cities back to Hallock, when he leaned out of the car and snatched a traffic cone off the street, only to return it a while later. I thought it was hilarious. Also, Roy was not a bully.

Christine, Katie & Sam, I am deeply saddened by your loss.

There are few people in this world who possess the level of kindness and grace of this great guy. I look back so fondly on the years I got to work with Roy and the million times he made me laugh. Sometimes he even meant to.

His passion was for his family. He was truly dedicated to being the best husband and dad he could be. It was a conscious effort on his part-- something you don't see very often in men.

I'm really sad today, but I have to believe that the angels are dancing to have gained back one of their own.

With deepest sympathy and happy memories,

Babette

We are in shock to learn a few minutes ago that a man whom we've not had opportunity to see in years, but always considered to be a very good friend, and one with whom you could pick up where you left off last, has gone to be with His Savior. He was our pastor many years ago, and a man who taught us much, and we admired greatly. I always think of Roy when running late to a meeting because he would take Wayne to lunch when Wayne missed an appointment, which he unintentionally did somewhat frequently. His compassion toward us when learning of the years we had spent waiting for children, and the celebration when our daughter, Quincy arrived. And his laugh. He had a great laugh, and he laughed a lot. He loved others well! To say that he will be missed is a gross understatement.

Our deepest sympathy along with prayers for your comfort go out to you, Christine, Katie, Sam, and all the rest of the family! May God somehow organize the chaos of your world again.

Roy was my neighbor, my friend and my insurance agent in that order. The part I cherish most is his being my friend. Roy was one the most gentle, kindest, nicest men I have ever known. I was able to not only talk and laugh with him, but I was able to cry and pray with him. a year ago I was going through some tough times with my elderly parents as I had to assume more duties to care for them and one day day when I was in his office, I broke down. I believe that somewhere inside me I knew that I was comfortable with my friend Roy that I could finally let go and I cried. Roy was there for me. He understood. He gave me a hug and offered to pray with and for me. We prayed. It was what I needed. He was there when I needed him most.
I'm crying while I write this. I will miss Roy so much. Roy was a great man.

I thank God for knowing such a person as Roy, he was so kind to my shy son nearly 20 years ago as a neighbor in Loveland, then our families lost touch until last year when he helped us get great insurance. His compassion and genuine goodness are unforgettable, and we look forward to seeing him again in Paradise someday.

Roy came to my aid one Sunday morning when, during prayer time and taking requests, I found out that my friend, Joe Guinn, had passed away. I was overcome with emotion ad could not continue. Roy came up and took over for me. I praise the Lord for his friendship!

Our prayers for comfort go out to Christine, Katy and Sam.
